The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center at the Central Florida Pulmonary Group was accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in December 1999. The Co-Directors of the program are Dr. Daniel Layish, as well as Dr. Francisco Calimano.

The Cystic Fibrosis Program Coordinator is Lindsay Samayoa, who is a respiratory therapist. Our center also includes a licensed mental health counselor, Sue Hampton, as well as a registered dietician, Candace Chemtob, MS, RD, LD.

The Cystic Fibrosis Program Clinic is held twice a month at our office in Altamonte Springs, FL. In addition, we see patients with cystic fibrosis in between these clinics as needed for problems that may arise. Our Cystic Fibrosis Program has been involved with research.

The Cystic Fibrosis Program also includes Pennie Nichols, who is a medical assistant to Dr. Calimano, as well as Duangdow Cumemanie, ARNP and Allison Tucci, ARNP, and LaMisa Smith, ARNP, BC.

Our pediatric affiliate at Nemours is lead by Dr. David Geller, and at Arnold Palmer by Dr Mark Weatherly.

Our Program has also setup an in-patient Center of Excellence to care for adult patients with Cystic Fibrosis at the Florida Hospital campus in Winter Park.
