Treasurer - Deanna Silva

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Deanna traded the snow for sunshine when she moved to Tampa, FL in the summer of 2001 to attend college. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Pre-med from the University of Tampa in 2005, and continued her education in 2008 when she received her degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Central Florida Institute. She developed a love of working with non-profit organizations in college after volunteering many hours with her sorority, Delta Zeta, to numerous charities. She quickly realized that she had to get involved with something that was very close to her heart, Cystic Fibrosis. Deanna’s cousin Kevin, the founder of this organization, was born with CF over 30 year ago, and she has been witness to his battles since childhood. Deanna, her brother Brian, and her cousin Kevin were very close growing up, and have gotten even closer in their adult life. After college, she spent many years working with other CF organization and helped coordinate events and raise funds for CF research. In 2010, she was honored to have been asked to serve as secretary for the foundation that had been dream of Kevin’s for many years. Together with the board of the directors, she hopes to make the Kevin A Przybyl Breathe Easy Foundation a dream come true for Kevin and all the CF patients it will serve.

Today, she works as an ultrasound technician and enjoys spending time with family and friends in her free time.

In 2009 Deanna married her wonderful husband, Michael, who has also become an advocate for CF, after becoming part of Kevin’s family. They are eager and excited to welcome a beautiful baby boy in July of 2011.
